Minutes 7/27/10
Holland Conservation Commission
~
Minutes of Commission meeting held on July 27, 2010.

Present: Mary vandenBerg, Chairperson, Marcia Beal, Patricia Caron and Nathan Gumlaw.  Absent: James Wettlaufer.

Chairperson called the meeting to order. The minutes of the July 13, 2010 meeting were read and accepted and will be distributed.

7:10 p.m.  Patricia Caron donated a Canon Digital Camera to the HCC.  The HCC’s Polaroid Camera is no longer serviceable.

7:30 p.m.  David Cawley of 6 Stony Hill Rd. had questions regarding the abutting property - which is very steep - and owned by Tom Baltazar:
1)      Whether Mr. Baltazar’s septic system could be installed at this late date.  We reviewed the Procedure Sheet and plot plan of Lot 16 on Sandy Beach Rd., dated June 2006.  It is no longer valid. Mr. Baltazar should resubmit;
2)      He questioned if a house could be built on this property.
He was referred to the Zoning Officer.

7:50 p.m.  Gary Barker of 11 Pine Tree Dr., Map R41-B-06 presented his Procedure Sheet #1408 and his partially completed Notice of Intent which was given to him in 2009 to repair and replace a concrete lakeside retaining wall that is caving into the lake.  He was told a narrative from the contractor would be required.

8:15 p.m.  Mark Boiteau, Bobby Wilder and Christine Marley of Heritage Dr., spoke of their concerns regarding the plugging of the culvert with mud by a neighbor at the Kreiger/Balderelli Pond.  They did not bring in pictures as was formerly requested.  The discussion did not seem to resolve the situation and we know neighbors have opposing opinions.  Members felt we should consult with the Select board and the DEP.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM.
Respectfully submitted by

Patricia Caron, Secretary
